erick-santana-2018Attorney Erick Santana has been evaluating personal injury cases for over 20 years and has successfully settled thousands of cases for his clients, in some instances collecting in excess of $1 million.


Prior to becoming an attorney, he was employed for seven years as an insurance adjuster for State Farm Insurance Co. As a result of his previous employment within State Farm, Mr. Santana knows first-hand what challenges clients face when dealing with insurance companies, which differentiates him from most personal injury attorneys in the area. Mr. Santana uses his expertise and knowledge to work on his client’s behalf. Currently, his responsibilities include meeting with clients and explaining the legal issues associated with their cases, negotiation of settlements, trial preparation, and serving the firm’s growing Hispanic client base in the areas of personal injury law.

Mr. Santana’s experience has made him an expert in the field of personal injury law and has been called upon by the local media for legal advice. Mr. Santana has been a guest on television and radio shows in South Florida as an expert in personal injury law and has taken part in live question and answer sessions, helping the audience better understand their case and legal rights.

Mr. Santana received his Juris Doctorate degree Cum Laude from the Shepard Broad Law Center at Nova Southeastern University. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Florida International University. He has lived in South Florida for more than 20 years and speaks Spanish fluently.

michael-cecere-2018Attorney Michael Cecere is a Board Certified Civil Trial lawyer and co-founder of the personal injury firm Cecere Santana, PA.


Mr. Cecere specializes in civil trial litigation and has over 14 years of experience in the courtroom trying over 65 cases to verdict. Mr. Cecere became a Board Certified Civil Trial Lawyer in 2008 and was recertified in 2013.

Mr. Cecere gained extensive trial experience while working as a defense attorney earlier in his career. Mr. Cecere has litigated claims in the areas of automobile accidents, slip and falls, premises liability, negligent security, faulty products, professional negligence, traumatic brain injury, homeowner’s property damage, and wrongful death. Mr. Cecere is a member of the Florida Bar and is admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Southern District and the Middle District of Florida.

Mr. Cecere attended Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida, where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree. Mr. Cecere received his Juris Doctorate degree Summa Cum Laude from Shepard Broad Law Center at Nova Southeastern University.


Asheley Figueroa-Santana, Associate Attorney


Asheley Figueroa-Santana is an associate attorney at Cecere Santana, PA. Mrs. Figueroa-Santana works on cases relating to Personal Injury and Property Litigation claims. As a member of both departments, she assists Mr. Cecere with cases relating to automobile accidents, slip and falls, premises liability, negligent security, faulty products, and wrongful death. Additionally, she is responsible for obtaining benefits for our clients for damages from hurricanes, storms, fires, water among other types of property claims. She is a zealous advocate for our client’s rights and continually strives to obtain the best results.

Mrs. Figueroa-Santana began her law career as part of an Engle Progeny litigation team fighting big tobacco companies on behalf of sick clients affected by the companies’ fraudulent conduct of hiding the side effects of smoking. Later, she obtained first-hand knowledge of how insurance companies operate while representing the insurance companies in Workers’ Compensation cases.

Mrs. Figueroa-Santana earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Florida International University. She graduated with her Juris Doctorate Degree Magna Cum Laude from St. Thomas University School of Law. She was part of the editorial staff of the St. Thomas Law Review, a member of the Cuban American Bar Association and President of the Tax Law Society.
